This story starts out with Aaliyah Weston's boyfriend Justin Riley who left her in the rain with Justin's friend Bobby taking care of her. Justin went back home to Boston to care for his sick mother who suffers from cancer and is in bad condition. Justin's mom named Betty who is 43 years old is a special woman who cared for and loved her husband and her children very much. She always wanted the best for her children especially for Justin who had alot of talent with his music. The next few days, Aaliyah was in her room lying on her bed crying because she missed Justin so much it hurt. Justin would call Aaliyah almost every day to see how she was doing and Aaliyah would ask Justin how his mom was and how his music was going. That night, Aaliyah got a call from her cousin Miranda Wood. Miranda was living in Los Angeles where she was a producer for a television music show called New Kids On The Block. Miranda told Aaliyah that she was coming to Louisville for a month to see her cousin and take a vacation. Miranda arrived in Louisville the next day and saw Aaliyah and walked around the farm on a beautiful sunny afternoon. That night, Aaliyah and Miranda went to the bar where Aaliyah first met Justin and had some drinks. Aaliyah told her cousin that this was the same bar that she met her boyfriend Justin and they hit it off great. Bobby came in the bar and saw Aaliyah He asked her how she was doing and she said she was doing as well as can be expected. Aaliyah introduced Miranda to Bobby and the two of them seem to hit it off. Aaliyah told her cousin that she wanted to go home but Bobby wanted to take Miranda out for a long walk around Louisville. Aaliyah told her cousin to go with Bobby and she will see Miranda at home. Miranda asked her "will you be okay by yourself"? Aaliyah replied saying "yes, I will be fine, I just need time to myself". Bobby and Miranda took a stroll around Louisville and had a nice coversation about music and other things they seem to have alot in common with each other. Miranda asked Bobby how long her cousin knew Justin. Bobby told her that Aaliyah knew Justin for a few months now but they became close from the first time he met her. He said Justin and Aaliyah seemed to hit it off but then he had to go home and care for his sick mom. Miranda told Bobby that she wants to go back to her cousin's house and check on Aaliyah to make sure she was alright. He was kind enough to walk her back home and then he leaned in and kissed Miranda on the cheek and said "good night my sweet angel". That Thursday morning, Miranda woke up and went to Aaliyah's room to check on her and found her on the bed crying. She hugged Aaliyah tight and said "its going to be okay, Justin will come back to you". Aaliyah said "how do I know Justin will come back to me?" Miranda told her "I'm not sure but I do know he loves you". Aaliyah stood up, dried her eyes with a tissue and went downstairs for some breakfast with Miranda. That afternoon, Justin called the house and Aaliyah's cousin picked up the phone. He said "may I please speak to Aaliyah". She asked in a low voice "who is this?" He said "this is Justin" and Miranda told him that Aaliyah was not home. Justin then told Miranda " when Aaliyah gets home can you please have her call me". Miranda said "sure, I'll give her the message." Aaliyah returned home in the evening and Miranda told her cousin Justin called you while you were out. She went to the phone and called her boyfriend. Justin answered the phone and said "hello, how are you my darling sweetheart". Aaliyah told Justin she was okay and asked about his mom. Justin broke the news that his mom passed away from cancer that afternoon while Aaliyah was out and he sounded so upset and was in tears. Aaliyah told Justin she would come to see him as soon as she can book a flight and a hotel to Boston. Justin told Aaliyah that he already called Bobby and booked a flight and hotel for Aaliyah and her cousin and for himself. She told him good I'll see you in Boston on Saturday. Bobby went to Aaliyah's house to pick up the girls and head for the airport. When the plane arrived Aaliyah, Bobby and Miranda went to the hotel to rest for a bit and went to get something to eat from the hotel restaurant. After they rested and ate, they all went to see Justin and send their condolences. As Justin stood in the doorway with tears down his eyes, he saw his friend, Miranda and Aaliyah. Justin embraced his girlfriend tightly with tears running down his face. Aaliyah went with Justin to handle the funeral arrangements for his mother. Justin told her that before his mom passed that she asked for one wish and one wish only and that was to hear her son sing at her funeral. The day of her funeral which was a Saturday, Justin stood there with his guitar and sang a song that he wrote for his loving mother. The next day, Justin was lying down on his mom's bed and cried because he was missing her so much. Aaliyah walked through the hallway and found Justin laying on his mom's bed crying, she lied down beside him and cuddled next to him and told him she will never leave his side. That Sunday night, Aaliyah and Justin remained together sleeping on his mom's bed while Miranda and Bobby were sitting outside on a swing on a patio enjoying each other's company. The next day, Justin and Aaliyah cleaned out his mom's room and she found a note in her bedside drawer. Aaliyah said "Justin I found this note, I think your mom wrote it." He said to Aaliyah "let me read the note please". The note said: "No matter where I go, I will always be with you, watching over you like a guardian angel please never forget how much I love you."
